Lent & Holy Week

Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025

Lent is a season of 40 days of preparation as we get spiritually ready to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter day. Holy Week, the week before Easter, is celebrated with special services for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil, three of the most holy services of the church year.

Easter

Sunday, April 20, 2025

Easter is a joyful celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We celebrate Easter with worship services at 8:00am and 10:00am and an Easter egg hunt for children following the 10:00am service.  Easter Sunday begins a 50 day season known as Eastertide and is one of the most joyful and celebratory times of the church year.

Pentecost

Sunday, June 8, 2025

Pentecost is the day when we celebrate the Holy Spirit’s presence in the church.  The word 'Pentecost' comes from a Greek word meaning 'Fiftieth day' because it takes place 50 days after Easter each year.

Advent is a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas.  The term is a version of the Latin word meaning "coming".
